Description

A decadent dessert of chocolate drizzled crêpes layered with ice cream and whipped cream.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Crêpes:

  • 1 cup (120g) all-purpose flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 ½ cups (360ml) milk
  • 2 tbsp melted butter
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt
  • Extra butter for the pan

For Serving:

  • 4 scoops vanilla or chocolate ice cream
  • 1 cup whipped cream (store-bought or homemade)
  • ½ cup chocolate sauce (see below or use ready-made)
  • Optional toppings: chopped nutsberriesOreo crumbssprinkles

Easy Chocolate Drizzle (optional)

  • ½ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 2 tbsp heavy cream or milk
→ Melt together in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crêpe Batter:

In a mixing bowl, whisk together all crêpe ingredients until the batter is smooth and free of lumps. For an even smoother texture, blend the mixture in a blender. Let the batter rest for 15–30 minutes—this step is optional but highly recommended, as it allows the flour to fully hydrate, resulting in lighter, more tender crêpes.

2. Cook the Crêpes:

Heat a nonstick skillet over medium heat and lightly grease it with butter for that perfect golden finish. Pour about ¼ cup of batter into the skillet, quickly swirling it to evenly coat the bottom. Cook for 1–2 minutes per side, or until the crêpe is lightly golden and easy to flip. Stack the cooked crêpes on a plate as you work through the batter.

3. Assemble the Dessert:

Lay a warm crêpe on a serving plate. Place a generous scoop of your favorite ice cream in the center, then fold or roll the crêpe around it. Top with a cloud of whipped cream for a creamy contrast.

4. Drizzle & Garnish:

Finish by drizzling warm chocolate sauce generously over the crêpe and whipped cream. For an extra touch of elegance, sprinkle with fresh berries, crushed nuts, or any other toppings that inspire you. Serve immediately and enjoy the decadent layers of warmth, creaminess, and richness!

Notes

Serving Tips:

Serve this decadent dessert immediately to enjoy the perfect contrast between the warm crêpe and the cold, melting ice cream. For a truly indulgent experience, act fast before the ice cream softens too much!

Flavor Variations:

Make-Ahead Option:

If you’re prepping in advance, cook the crêpes earlier in the day and keep them warm by wrapping them in foil. For gentle reheating, place them in a low-temperature oven or briefly warm them in a skillet before assembling. This way, you can still serve a flawless dessert with minimal fuss!
